The Execution of Troy Davis is a travesty and miscarriage of justice to say the least. But let's not act like we don't glorify and celebrate those who claim to be murderers every day in black culture. Now all of a sudden everybody's a civil right's activist? You can't pick and choose which evil's in the world to hate. If you stand against evil, you have to stand against it everywhere...even when you find it in yourself. I love this scripture. It reminds us of God's faithfulness and encourages us to "wait on the LORD". God isn't asleep on your case, He's active and working in ways you couldn't even imagine.

If I could put your thoughts from the past 24 hours on a screen for everyone to see, even those closest to you would probably abandon you for the foul thoughts you think. But God sees and knows ALL of your thoughts and still loves you. Coming to God isn't about informing Him of your sin, its about getting forgiveness for the sin that he already knows about. God promised to cleanse you and make your life brand new.

For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
